1. What this site is

This site is published by PaycheckSum: free payroll tax calculators and guides, with no accounts, no checkout and no user profiles. This policy describes the site as it is actually built; if a feature described here is not live yet, the text says so.

2. Calculations happen on your device

Every figure is computed by the site's calculation engine, from parameters that cite primary sources. The reference cases shown on each page were computed when the site was built and ship as data in the page; figures for your own entries are computed by the same engine running in your browser, on your device. Nothing you select or type into a calculator is sent to a server, stored, or used to profile you.

3. PDF downloads stay on your device

The Download PDF button generates the document locally, in your browser, from the result already on your screen. The values in the result are not uploaded anywhere, and no copy is kept by the site.

4. Email alerts

The email signup form is currently inert: no email provider is connected to it, and the form is built without any submission mechanism — it has no destination and no submit control, so it cannot send an address anywhere, with or without JavaScript enabled, and nothing is collected or stored. When subscriptions open, three things will be true before the form accepts a single address: signup will be double opt-in (you are subscribed only after clicking a confirmation email); the provider will be named in this section; and every email will carry an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing deletes the address from the list.

5. Cookies and analytics

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts in its current build. If a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics tool is ever enabled, this policy will be updated first, naming the tool and exactly what it measures.

6. Hosting and server logs

The site is served through a hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare). Like any web server, it processes technical logs — IP address, browser user-agent, timestamps — to deliver pages and to prevent abuse. We do not use those logs to identify or profile visitors, and we keep no separate copy.

7. External links

Calculator lines cite primary sources (the IRS, the Social Security Administration, state agencies; the Canada Revenue Agency and HMRC on the reserve pages). Those sites have their own privacy policies. Partner links, once any exist, pass through this site's /go/ redirect pages and are covered by the affiliate disclosure.

8. Your choices

Because the calculators hold no personal data, there is nothing to export or delete from them. For email alerts (once live), you may unsubscribe at any time, which deletes your address. Questions about this policy go to PaycheckSum at the contact address published on the About page.

9. Changes to this policy

If a change would collect anything new, this page is updated — with its date — before the change takes effect.
